Thoughts of Tulum feel simultaneously fresh in my memory and somewhat faded, as if not quite real but begging to be revisited.
The city was equal parts designer's dream, foodie haven, and ecological wonder.
I got to travel with my professional photographer friend and roommate Autumn, so we took turns learning to be on both sides of the camera for a change.
We swam in cenotes. We visited Mayan ruins. We made local friends and snuck out to private beaches at night. We biked everywhere, meeting coatis (the most adorable of scavengers) and photographing colorful buildings along the way.
There was lounging, dancing, indulging, and exploring.
It a week of play, a much needed one.
